Hayden Hawkes Secret Gold Guide

Hayden Hawke’s Gold guide is one of the newest guides on the market. It took me quite a while to review this guide because I honestly didn’t feel like getting in game and working on it all. A large part of that is because of the types of methods in this gold guide. Let’s get one thing straight from the start; Hayden Hawke’s Secret Gold Guide is a standard, PDF based, gold guide. So let me get to my first point.

Hayden Hawke – The Content

Is it too much to ask that the market evolve over time? When I first opened up this new gold guide, I couldn’t help but be taken back to my days with Valkor’s Gold Guide, back before Burning Crusade even released. That is not to say that it isn’t a great guide and that the methods don’t work, it just doesn’t push the envelope at all. If I had used this guide BEFORE I got the auction house mastery gold guide, I probably would have been more impressed.

That being said, their are a lot of good farming methods in this guide. I managed around 431 gold per hour on average from these methods after I did the math. So all in all it was actually fairly productive. I just got really bored doing it, and that is the part that I hate. That is why it took so long to put up my review.

What do you get?

You actually get a fair amount of stuff. It has the main guide, which has a bunch of different techniques, farming spots, etc. You also get a bunch of crafting and profession extras that can help you use your professions to make money. For the $49 price tag, it’s actually a pretty comprehensive package when compared to the rest of the stuff on the market. Aside from the auction mastery guide I mentioned earlier, it is probably one of the best PDF based guides available.

Final Verdict?

Hayden Hawke has definitely put together a nice package with a lot of great techniques. That being said, I would have liked to have seen video’s and a more entertaining package than the standard PDF. I am really looking for gold guides to push the envelope at this point as it has been a long time since anyone tried anything new.

It’s not a bad guide and the $49 price tag isn’t bad. Like I said, I average 431 gold an hour which is a pretty decent sum. If your looking for a gold guide and you need money asap, then this guide will give you the methods you need. You’ll just be somewhat bored doing them. Personally, I think your money is better off spent on the newly released Auction House Mastery Guide.
